You Are Enough, Just As You Are

Sometimes, life can become a little too uncomfortable.

  • You might find it challenging to connect with others or feel understood and seen;

  • Things like work, school, dating, friendships or day-to-day things can be confusing, demanding or overwhelming;

  • You might be constantly worrying about what you say and what you do; how you are presenting yourself to the world; what you are doing right or wrong; what you are or aren’t doing enough;

  • You might live with an ongoing feeling that something isn’t right but can’t quite pinpoint what or why;

  • You might feel frustrated, exhausted, hurt or angry from years of dealing with sensory stimuli, masking who you are, struggling to find your place, and living in a world that is out of sync with you and your needs;

  • Sometimes it feels like no one sees your struggles or knows how hard you’re trying…

You are not alone and it’s not your fault. As you continue to grow and your life continues to evolve, it can be difficult to keep up with and make sense of it all, especially when the world isn’t set up to understand you.

It is important to process these feeling and experiences, but working through them alone or with someone who doesn’t understand the way you experience the world can get in the way of making real progress.

Finding a Counsellor Who ‘Gets It’

When things get tough, it makes a difference when you can work through them with someone who not only understands but also embraces your way of being and knowing; someone who truly sees you as a whole person, rather than a bundle of issues and dysfunctions.

We believe that everyone has the ability to heal, grow, and build a life that they feel good about. What helps start the process is often to feel seen, heard, and understood.

Counselling provides a safe, supportive, confidential, and judgement-free zone for you to speak to someone freely about what’s on your mind.

As Your Counsellor, We Collaborate with You to…

  • Explore your experiences through a neurodivergent-affirming lens and find language to make sense of them.

  • Delve into your identity, values, beliefs, needs, unexplained challenges, hidden strengths, inner wisdom, and more.

  • Manage anxiety, depression, overwhelm or other everyday challenges.

  • Process the experiences of going undiagnosed and/or being misdiagnosed during your formative years.

  • Learn about divergent neurotypes, such as Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, PDA, and HSP.

  • Unpack what it's like to be neurodivergent in a neuro-normative world and develop the confidence and skills needed to navigate future challenges successfully.

  • Create changes that are fulfilling for you and align with your neurodivergent ways of being.

  • Nurture stronger relationships with yourself and those around you.

Many people seek counselling when things become difficult or overwhelming. That said, you don’t need to be in crisis or have experienced trauma to benefit from counseling. Counseling provides a supportive space where you can:

  • Deepen your understanding of yourself.

  • Reflect on past and current experiences.

  • Improve and expand on existing skills.

  • Celebrate achievements and milestones.

“Cheers to all the inner work we’re doing that no one else knows about, all the things we’ve overcome that no one else has seen, all the ways we are showing up for ourselves that no one else might view as brave, and cheers to learning to remind ourselves how brave it is, even when no one sees it”
